About Zarkill.com
zarkill.com has been around in some form or another since 2000 as a personal blog and an outlet for my artwork. one consistant feature throughout all of this site’s incarnations has been a sampling of sketches taken out of my sketchbooks.
recently i’ve undertaken an ambitious new project: to scan and post almost 30 years worth of drawings that i’ve done throughout my life. that has become the new main focus of this site, as well as some miscellaneous other projects that i will share.
my work is mostly in the form of sketches. i rarely make a “polished” peice of art… i dunno if it’s because i’m lazy, or incapable, or i just lose interest too quickly. this quality is not just in my drawing, either. when i write, i usually write small snippets of stories… sketches that never go anywhere. when i write music, it’s a few chords or a short melody, a sketch of a song that i never finish.
and so here is zarkill.com version 2007+, a collection of my art, writing, and music.
zarkill.com is named after a character in a comic book my friend bryan and i used to draw when we were in 8th grade. i don’t draw comics anymore for some reason. or rather, i start them but never finish them.
